Super 8 by Wyndham Grand Junction Colorado

Over the years I have come to count on Super 8 to provide a comfortable, clean room at a fair price. I have heard that they're all independently owned and operated but they all conform to a high standard so they seem consistent wherever I am. It isn't hard to find one when you're looking for a place. They seem to be everywhere! I'm not a budget traveler and I stay at other chains for a little more plush sometimes but I can depend on Super 8

4-stars based on the value this property offers for the price compared to other hotels in Grand Junction. It's an older property showing its age, but the staff does a pretty good job. Local management could give some attention to the hallway carpets, which are long overdue for a deep steam cleaning that gives off a less than inviting odor. Our room itself wasn't bad -- dated, but clean and the bed/linens didn't smell bad. I probably wouldn't want to stay here more than a night or two while traveling, but for a place to sleep and grab a shower it was worth saving $100 vs nearby Hilton and Marriott properties.

The rooms are a little older but they take good care of them. They are very clean and the breakfast is amazing

Honestly, this hotel was a pretty good deal for the price. It was clean and comfy. However, I did encounter a couple of problems. First, my door wouldn't lock. Luckily I checked right away because something just didn't seem right. Turns out the locking mechanism had dead batteries in it. However, just as I was about to fall asleep, someone entered the room above me and dropped what sounded like a bowling ball on the floor. The person continued to be very noisy, slamming things around. I called the front desk to complain, and they said they'd call the room. It was better for about five minutes. I tried to wait it out but Just Couldn't. When I called back, a different person answered the phone. He suggested that I move to a different room, and I objected. I was in my night attire and would have had to move a lot of stuff that was already unpacked. I told him that if anyone was moved, it should be the noisy person upstairs. He said he'd go up and talk to them. I noticed an improvement after that, but it didn't really get quiet until (I assume) the noisy person finally went to bed. I would have appreciated a more proactive approach by the staff.

Location was great. Close to restaurants, the mall, downtown, Palisade, and lots of other things! Very convenient. Staff was friendly and attentive. The room/facilities weren't dirty necessarily, but the room had a smell right when you walked in. The floor definitely needed a deep deep clean and the shower could've had a second look, however the bed was clean. The rooms definitely need to have the air purified due to the cigarette/musty smell.

It would have been nice to know that the elevator didn't work! The breakfast is meh! No eggs, bacon, or sausage. Comfortable bed and room though! Also it would be nice if there were some umbrellas by the pool! And since it's outside, it probably needs to be cleaned more often. Also had a fridge but no microwave in the room! Maybe I shouldn't have given it as many stars as I did! But it was comfortable!

Absolutely wonderful, stay with them Everytime. Never complain about my dog, or if I'm doing like 10 loads of laundry, out when i fall asleep doing laundry and leave it in the washer on accident over night. They are very accommodating and very personable. Them.
